Stephen sent in these excellent photographs taken with his new digital camera. He told me this has been the first opportunity he has had to test it out and was quite pleased with the results.

The event itself suffered a bit due to the strong winds on Saturday, although things were much better on Sunday. Monday finished early as the flying was interrupted by showers and the wind returning.

Still, the event was  very enjoyable. The hospitality of the group at Longhorsley is legendry. There was also a  'question the Committee section' whereby members could ask questions about the operation of the LMA and decisions the Committee had recently taken. This proved quite popular and is something that will probably be repeated again.

Anyway, here is a selection of photographs showing some of the action.......

 

Lets start with the Chairman's latest project the KLM Airbus.

 

A few year's old now, but still flying well was Tony Hooper's Avro 504.

 

Still in the 'old timer' department was another of the Chairman's favourites, an old Bleriot.

 

A superbly made and flown model is this Chilton.

 

An excellent representation of the Dakota.

 

Continuing with the WWII theme there was a good representation of fighters....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jet powered models continue to grow in popularity with LMA members.  Keith Mitchell's Hunter goes right to the top of the tree for being a modelling masterpiece. At this stage it was still doing taxi runs and awaiting its first flight.
